Adele Bates

Adele Bates MA (Opera and Music Theatre) is a vibrant classically trained singer. Her vocal skills have led her (amongst other places) to the Royal Albert Hall, Bromley Little Theatre, Baron's Court Theatre, Lingen in Germany, Gloucester Cathedral and Disneyland.

She sings in a range of styles: Classical, Opera, Popular, Light Jazz and Music Theatre, and performs in multiple languages including Scandinavian.

Adele has a wide range of experience singing for different events in hotels, restaurants, residential homes, business parties, weddings, charity events and afternoon tea gatherings. Her personable style enables her to pitch her performance accordingly and fit to each occasion.

Adele originally moved to Brighton to complete her Masters Degree in Opera and Music Theatre. She is now available for functions in and around Brighton and East Sussex.

Adele also works in close collaboration with Composers on new works, particularly experimenting with extended vocal techniques and the role of the Voice on stage.

Adele is currently working with local composer Alexander Thomas on a new piece of voice based music. Written specifically for Adele and a Chamber Orchestra it explores her unique extended technique in conjunction with the theatrical possibilities of its delivery. The first public showing will be performed with a grand piano.
